Hi Gustavo,
My guitar arrived 7:15 AM Friday morning. I phoned the delivery agent to arrange for a pickup, we live close to Toronto airport. They told me no delivery until Monday. As good luck would have it, when I was in business we did business with the same company you used. As I told you in a previous email my wife looked after sales and
transport. She made a phone call and the package was made available for pickup.
The guitar looked perfect which made me happy. You know about my bad experience with the last guitar I bought from one of your competitors in Paraguay. When I tuned the guitar several times above concert pitch until the stretch was almost gone I was ready to play. All my life I played, for 45 years, with heavy guitars. The guitar I mentioned purchased in January, this was also a very heavy and big guitar. Your instrument was petite and light and so beautiful.
When I was happy with the tuning I started playing heavy Spanish pieces with lots of base. Gustavo, I never thought this sweet guitar could produce such a pleasing song with the incredible volume I heard. Doing business all my life I used an old tired saying and it is simple, "it is all a matter of what you know" and you clearly know. Over the years I have been playing, this guitar is amongst the best. You will be receiving an order for another and my last purchase made to my specs, with your advice all the way through.
You have opened my ears,
All the best to you and yours,
John Clifford.

Hello Gustavo,
The guitar arrived with only a small customs check in Osaka. The shipping crateworked fantastic, more companies should do the same! I have been around guitars all my life, my dad worked for Gibson USA. And more recently, I went with my guitar instructor ( he has released 3 CD's in Japan and has played for 38 years) to Ochanomizu (the guitar capital of Japan) where we were allowed to test more than 30 Luthier made guitars. The minimum price for any one guitar at the exhibition was 10,000 US$. I can say with complete confidence, that your guitar is better than 98% of the guitars offered for more than 10,000US$. There was even one for 30,000$ ... but it didn't have such beautiful tone, sustain, or dynamics as yours. Excellent craftmanship!! Thanks for your help with everything!!
Cheers,

Dear Maestro Gustavo,
Please forgive my lack of communication since you shipped my requinto. It did not arrive quite as DHL promised -- by Monday November 22nd. For some unexplained reason it sat in Cincinnati for 24 hours and did not arrive until Tuesday the 23rd, by which time we'd had to leave on holiday. But in some ways that was ok, since the case I'd bought for it had to be modified anyway -- I would have worried taking it in the baggage section on the plane ride.
In any case it was there waiting when I got back on the 27th, beautifully and carefully packed, perfect. The craftsmanship is beautiful, the finish impeccable. But the sound ... Dear Gustavo, I spent 4 years in music school at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, studying with Aaron Shearer, and over the years have played several fine guitars. But I have never heard or played a more beautiful instrument. It speaks immediately, clearly, whether whispering in molto tasto or ponticello, or commanding near the sound hole. The 7th string is simply out of this world. The ability to add the lower 5th, for example in the Milan Pavans or Bach, is indescribably thrilling.
I played the opening piece for our church's Christmas Eve celebration the past Friday night -- Lo How a Rose 'eer Blooming -- in an arrangement that goes from whispering piano to maximum forte, and uses all 7 strings, and people who have heard me play that piece many times before on my 6 string all were moved by the beautiful voice of your requinto. It projects better than my 6 string, even with a much smaller box. And while the shorter string length limits the absolute tonal range a touch compared to the larger instrument, it really is very hard to tell.
From the Oribes and Ramirezes I've played, and many others I have heard, I've never heard a better instrument. The fingerboard fits my hand as well as any I've tried. I'm still getting used to 7 strings, but I'm loving the process.
Had I played an instrument like this as a student many many years ago, it's hard not to imagine I would have made music my career instead of my avocation.
I look forward to many many years of enjoyment with this gorgeous guitar, and of many compliments from listeners who are lucky enough to hear it.
These words can only begin to express my thanks.
I am, with deepest gratitude, yours truly,

Every time I come back to my Pau Ferro Maestro cedar top guitar after playing another one of my guitars, I fall in love again. It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with a gorgeous, full sound. My teacher encourages me to play it more - to mature the sound. It is a child now, with all the promise of youth. Please convey my sincere thanks to the artist that created such beauty.

Hello Gustavo,
I received the Parlor Guitar a short while ago. It's just wonderful! Had I been here when they attempted to deliver it yesterday, the entire shipping process would have been only three days! Incredible. The guitar is just beautiful. Thank you so much for working so hard to have it completed in time for my trip out of state. Now I need a Spruce top Parlor to go with it!
Thanks again and all the best,

Dear Gustav,
The guitar arrived safe and well yesterday. All I can say that your pictures whilst good do not equal the real thing, it is stunning - thank you and please do pass on my thanks to whoever has built this beautiful instrument for me as well.
Needless to say I have played it as well, and again it has surpassed all my hopes and expectations - I feel very lucky to be the proud owner of this guitar.
If anyone else in the UK is looking to purchase a guitar from you, feel free to use me as a reference point at any time.
Again many thanks and very best wishes to you all for the future.

Dear Gustavo
A bit more feedback for you. I had my first lesson with my new guitar yesterday. My teacher - ex concert guitarist in the UK- was amazed at how good my guitar was. Easily equal of anything she has played in the £3,000.00 + bracket.
Again thank you for building this for me am I sure that I would never have got close to such a wonderful guitar on my budget. I of course think it is absolutely wonderful to.
Very best wishes

Estimado Sr. Arias:

Dear Gustavo,
I am so glad that you and your wife will be attending the festival in the fall here in San Luis Obispo. Russ has been forwarding me your mail to him. Your generosity in donating a guitar is overwhelming and could mean a lot to the future of these festivals as all expenses must be covered by fundraising and ticket sales. All the work is volunteer except that the college does the bookkeeping! The members of our group and the steering committee especially are very excited by the possibility of money to be raised, or of acquiring it for themselves through auction or raffle. And please accept my personal thanks also.
I also thought you might like to know that Jesus Saiz Huedo has played your guitar for parts of 3 concerts in Madrid this spring. The credits on the programs read: "Jesus Saiz Huedo interpretara a Sor, Gilchrist y Ferandiere con una guitarra que pertenecio a Reed Gilchrist y fue construida por el guitarrero paraguayo Gustavo Arias en enero de 2004"
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Gustavo,
I received the guitar in the afternoon two days ago, des.29th. although it came to Iceland 7 or 8 days before. The delay was because of custom clearing. As rather busy this day I waited until late at night to open the box, alone in my study. My feeling was that this would be a very special moment. Carefully I opened the case and saw a good looking guitar in perfect condition. The touching was soft and every part of the guitar so beautyful to look at. Then I started to tune it up. And that tone. Immediately I heard it sounded unlike other guitars of mine or I´ve played. Better. Much better. Rich tonality, clear sound of every tone and, easy tuning. Perfect intonation. This is really my guitar.
Yesterday I was very busy, but this morning, des.31th. I played for a good while and tuned the guitar to normal pitch. It sounded better and better.
Later, if I may, I would tell you more as I get used to play this great guitar or if I have any questions.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,and happy new year.

Hello Gustavo,
I want to wish you and your family a very happy and prosperous New Year.
The guitar that I purchased from you is fully broken in now and an absolute joy to play. The tonal quality is warm and beautiful. The action is light and quick in response. I wouldn't trade this guitar for the world. I find that Augustine Regal strings are a perfect match for the guitar.
I wish you a very happy 2005.Please express my utmost appreciation and thanks to the luthier for constructing so wonderful an instrument for me to play.

Hello Gustavo,
The guitar sounds great and looks very nice! My husband's teacher was very impressed with the sound. She asked for the specifications of the instrument, what woods were used and so forth. Unfortunately, I don't have the original email that you sent with the details, would you mind sending the details again? She was pretty skeptical when we ordered, but she loves the guitar and maybe will generate some orders for you (???).

Gustavo,
The guitar is arrived !
1) Great packaging: a packaging like this in europe may worth almost like a mid-budget guitar !
2) Great instrument: at a visual inspection appear perfect and beatifully crafted, ebony inlays and finishing are gorgeous.
3) After an accurate tuning, the instrument sound strong and vibrant, incredible for a brand new instrument with mid tension strings!
I have no other words for now, simply thanks, i will write later after a string change (D'Addario Pro Arte J46) and an accurate test.
Best Regards,
Alessandro B. (Italy)
--------
Gustavo,
Before write to you a complete guitar report, I have two or three meeting with other guitarist and a maestro session, for now I can say that it sounds strong and balanced, with J46 D'Addario strings, the neck is comfortable and the overall effect is that of a 'singing' instrument, despite of its youth spruce top, I suppose it will enhance again in next two years, but already now, it sounds far better then a Contreras or a Ramirez in middle price range (1300 - 2000 EUR), a great instrument.
Only a problem, painting is very delicate, it is sufficent a little touch with a watch or ring to have little white lacquer scratch.
Best Regards,
Alessandro B. (Italy)

Dear Gustavo,
WOW! My Algarrobo came this morning. It is beautiful. Thank you very much, Gustavo.
I've attached the journey it took to get here for you interest. It arrived in Sydney, my nearest capital city, last Thursday but has taken nearly another week to reach me here.
I'm about six hours drive north of Sydney! I won't go into the full story. Any rate, although the case had been opened all was intact.
My kind regards to you,

Estimado Gustavo:
I received the "Flamenca Blanca" on Saturday the 19th and have notified escrow.com of my acceptance. The guitar is magnificent in appearance, superbly "flamenca" in sound. The lightness of the guitar and flatness of the neck is very comfortable for my hand and arm problems. Argentine cypress is apparently darker than most, but gives the "cut-away" a great deal of charecter that suits me well.
Don Gustavo, I am the proud owner of several very nice guitars, but the 3 guitars you have made for me are my pride and joy. I have shown and played all of them at the restaurant I work at. At 66 years of age, these guitars and the music I make with them make my later years more fulfilling. Gustavo, although I may have to wait for just a little while, would you kindly consider making me one more "flamenca blanca", but without the cut-away and also the back and sides and headpiece of Alaskan yellow cedar (AAA) also called Canadian cypress which some makers are using on flamenco guitars? If you agree, we can talk about it through the e-mail in the near future. Thank you again for the wonderful work that was put into this beautiful guitar.
Sincerely,

Dear Gustavo,
I had to wait until the 18th of June to receive my guitar as a gift for my birthday. All the people at the party said it looks very nice and when I try it for 5 minutes, they were all impressed by the quality of the sound.
And after that, I had to wait until yesterday to have time enough to play again and again. It sounds better and better. I haven't be thinking of being able to produce such a beautiful sound with a guitar. Now I can hear the sound I dreamed for the pieces I play.
Please congratulate the luthier who made my instrument. I wish you to continue such a fine art for a very long time.
With my best regards,

Dear Maestro Arias
Hello!
I received my guitar in this morning. The wrapping using wood was perfect and there is no problem in shipping.
The guitar is perfect. It is easy to play for me, and the sound has good balance and tone. Although I think it does not show its true ability at this time because the string had been relaxed, I will be able to enjoy an excellent sound a few days after, thank you.
As Dr.Gabazza and his wife are looking forward hearing the sound of your guitar, I'd like to show it and play my guitar.
Sincerely yours,

Gratias pur tu correo, seguiré tus consejos.

Hi Gustavo,
I hope you are doing well.
Please pass a message along to the luthier for me. Tell him that I really enjoy playing my new guitar, It has the tone I was looking for. It has strong full basses, yet they don't overpower the trebles. The trebles are full and sweet sounding. I think the sound is very similar to the 1937 Herman Hauser guitar that Segovia used on a lot of his Decca recordings from the 1950's. I'm sure the sound will only get better as the wood ages. Anyway, thank him for making me such a fine guitar.
Best regards,

Gustavo:
I received my guitar today. Oh my god!! This an awesome and beautiful guitar. I can't believe the craftsmanship of your guitar. I can spell the Western Red Cedar and the rosette is beautiful. As an African American, a very small number of us attempt to play classical guitar. I'm not trying to Tarrega, Sor, or Segovia, but I want to become good at it.
I am very proud to be playing your guitar Gustavo. Thank you for being patient with me an putting up with all of my changes and tons of emails. I am so glad I found you on the website. The Internet was the best advertising you could have ever done. I will be spreading the word about your guitars to all of my friends and students. Also, I will be ordering two more guitars with spruce tops in a couple of months.
I've been told your guitar costs between $5,000-$7,500. I sent my material list to another Luthier and he indicated he will charge me $5,000 to make this guitar. Another Luthier wanted to charge me $9,000.
Gustavo, I am telling you the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are the man my friend.
God Bless you and the wonderful craftsman in Paraguay.

Mr. Arias,
My teacher looked over the guitar, and liked it as much as I do. He played for over half an hour before giving it back to me. The stiff tuner had fixed itself overnight somehow.
It has been a pleasure dealing with you, and I certainly have gotten an excellent bargain on a guitar. I wish you great success with your business. If some other poor guitarist in the Seattle area is thinking of buying one your guitars, I would be happy to show mine.

Dear Gustavo,
I am enjoying my guitar more each day. It is a wonderful instrument. I do have one question. What are the strings used on my guitar, the treble strings are blue, white and red at the ends and the bass silver in color. Thank you, Charles

Hello Gustavo,

Hello Gustavo,
I have opened the case and the guitar is wonderful. The base notes resound and the trebles sparkle. I like the workmanship, the beauty of the woods, and especially the sound.
The inscription was just as I requested, and the guitar is everything I had hoped for.
I have two grand daughters 12 years of age. I have considered purchasing two student guitars as Christmas presents for them. One is studying the viola and the other does not play an instrument, but both enjoy listening to my guitar. If they are interested in a guitar as a present, could I expect delivery before the 25th of December? I would want the student version that is bound on the top and bottom, and I believe one of the wood choices was walnut. After you advise me about the availabity I will ask them about their interest.
Many thanks for mine. It is a fine guitar.

Hello Gustavo,
What a wonderful surprise I had today. IT ARRIVED!! Actually my wife chased the mailman down the street yesterday and captured the package. He had attempted to deliver it, but she did not get to the door in time. Since a signature was required he was taking it back to the post office.
I did not get home until this afternoon, and I could not wait to open the wooden box. This time the customs dept. did not inspect the contents, so the box was in perfect condition.
The guitar arrived in perfect condition, and it is just what I wanted. I love the woods, the design of the bridge, the contour of the body, the purling, the ebony pegs, the way the top blends with the sides, your choice of rosette could not have been better, the inscription was just as I wanted, and the finish is excellent. I do wish I had ordered Schaller tuners with ebony knobs. When I order the next guitar I will have you send me a set and I will replace the existing ones. And the sound of the guitar is very mellow.
It can't compete with the concert instrument, but it will be a lot of fun to play.
I can't say "thank you" in written form with the enthusiasm that I would show could I speak with you, but I hope you can picture my appreciation. My wife thinks it is the most attractive of all my guitars. This one is certainly special, and I thank you for it.
I am also sending you a copy of the last email I sent you. I have the feeling you did not get it.
Many Thanks,
Frank Richardson (Virginia, USA)

Gustavo,
First, the feedback in short: The guitar is excellent.
Then, a bit longer version: The guitar has a clear, strong sound, projects well, and has a good tone separation. Intonation is perfect, and I feel very comfortable with the string height. The sound seems to be getting better every day. I have no previous experience of new spruce tops: could it be that the spruce is opening up this fast? I am well satisfied with this Arias guitar.
Thank you!
Matti P. (PS. I changed the strings immediately to Hannabach Goldins, which I have used exclusively for the past 2-3 years.)

Dear Gustavo:
I just had to write you to let you know that the sound of the guitar is GORGEOUS !!! It is warm, with fine sustain and projection . I played last night and just couldn't put the guitar down . I played until the early hours in the morning . Please let the luthier know that I want to thank him over and over for constructing such a wonderful instrument for me to play and enjoy.
My dear friend Gustavo, please let me know the exact measurements of the guitar. I want to buy another case for it . The SKB molded case that I have may be a little too small for the instrument to fit comfortably .I really need this information because I have rehearsals in New York City coming up shortly and must purchase a new case before then. Once again, I can't thank you enough for the fine quality instrument that I now own .
My very best regards and sincerest thanks,

Hello Gustavo,
I want to thank you again for the guitar. I have been playing it and it looks and plays beautifully. You produce very fine guitars. Please also extend my thanks to the luthier. He does excellent work.
I have some questions. Whose signatures are on the inside label of the guitar? Also, where can I find more information on the history of your company and the luthier's education/experience? I have been discussing my guitar with friends and with people online and I've found myself unable to answer some questions. Anything you can provide would be appreciated.
I look forward to a lifetime of enjoyment from my guitar. Should you require any testimonials in the future I would be more than happy to do so.
Good luck with your business!
Take care,

Good morning Gustavo,
The guitar has arrived this morning, the mail room went to the trouble to call me at 6AM so I could pick up the guitar. The two girls there were asking me questions about the shipping costs and the guitar costs, and the interesting container from Paraguay. One girl knew missionaries who worked in Paraguay. I was impressed with the shipping container, took me a while to figure out how to open it, got my kitchen knife and pliers. And then my wife and daughter were helping unwrap the foam, and WOW, the guitar was beautiful! The back and sides were awesome, the cedar top is super tonewood. Had to go to work, so played it a little bit, the bass is right, the trebles are bright and clear, the more I played the more I'm hearing come out. And the guitar willing responds in sound to the different ways I play. Wife and daughter said it sounds like a harp, imagine that, that's a wonderful thing. She's tired of my loud-mouthed raspy flamenco thing I made.
Thank you for the good deal you made for me, thanks to everyone there that made this a little adventure for us up here, and the luthier for his skills and efforts. People at work want me to bring it in. If things go as planned, third weekend this month, I may have some interesting news concerning this nice guitar when it meets a certain artist, I'll let you know if this goes well.
Sincerely,
Tom T. (USA)

Gustavo,
A little news from Saturday. We attended a classical guitar concert and the Master class that evening. There I watched a few local guitarists play and and receive helps from the expert. As a last thing that night we brought the Palo Rosa guitar to her to play. She played the instrument, she liked the guitar wood, she thought it sounded different, an liked the sound. This was the artist I talked about, Ana Vidovic. I just thought you Would like to hear about. In her hands the guitar sounded beautiful.
Sincerely,

Estimado Sr. Gustavo Arias:
Saludos cordiales

Hi, Gustavo,
The guitar has arrived, and it's great! Very beautiful, and sounds beautiful too. And I love the case as well!
It's so amazing to play an instrument with the correct neck dimensions for my hand. I feel like I'll be able to make some real progress now. Thanks so much for working with me on the custom order.
Are there any special instructions regarding care and maintenance?
Thanks again for everything. I hope we have an opportunity to do business again in the future!
Sincerely,

Dear Gustavo,
I received the guitar. All I can say is "felicitaciones" .The instrument is MAGNIFICO!!!
As luck would have it, my colleague and the head of the guitar department at Nassau Community College is here to see me. He can't get over the beauty and sonority of the guitar!! I played it and the action is like butter under my hand. I want you to know that I will positively have Carlos Barbosa-Lima see and play the instrument when I visit Aryeh Eller in a few weeks. Barbosa-Lima usually calls him and when he does, Aryeh will arrange time for him to come to his house during my visit.
I will take a picture of the guitar and send it along with an audio to Ken Davidson at Acadia University in Canada.
I'm sure that you now know how ecstatic I am about the guitar. You are by far the most descent and reliable gentleman that I have come to know!! Please extend my felicitaciones to the luthier. He is truly a master guitar maker in every way. What is his name? I would like to thank him personally if he has an email address. I will also recommend him to all my friends to apprise their students about using this master luthier if and when they are ready to buy a concert quality instrument.
In closing, please accept my sincerest thanks for all that you have done to assure my complete satisfaction. I will never forget this. God bless you !
Thank and my very best regards,

Hello Gustavo,
I want you to know that I am truly elated with the new guitar. I played it for friends and the feedback has been very positive. The guitar is not only a delight to play, but it is beautiful to look at. The action is light and extremely comfortable. The sound keeps getting better and better!
Gustavo, what more can I say. Please believe when I say that I want to thank you. Also, please give the builder my sincerest thanks. He is truly an exceptionally fine luthier.
Very truly,

Dear Gustavo,
I played a concert of my music Friday night at the Town Hall in Flushing Queens. The audience response was very positive. The guitarists who attended were thrilled with the sound of the guitar. They earn their living teaching at Universities and private schools here in New York and asked for the name of your website which of course I gladly gave them. Hopefully, this will promote more business for you.
Once again, I want to thank you for the wonderful guitar that was constructed for me. Please be assured that I will do all that I can to spread a complimentary word about Classical Guitarra. More than that, the excellent quality of the guitar will do more than any words of praise can justify.
Many thanks to you and the luthier.
Very truly yours,
Joseph Starr (New York Classical Guitar Society, New York, USA)

Dear Gustavo:
The guitar arrived this afternoon and had a chance to play it a little bit. It is really a beautiful instrument!
I like the sound after comparing it with my old guitar (student model Alhambra 3C). This new guitar is more balanced. The bass is more rounded. It still needs to "open up" a little bit which will happen with time since this is a spruce top guitar.
Thank you,

Hello Gustavo,
I just received the guitar this afternoon 30 minutes ago. Awesome guitarra! I haven't tuned it yet. Can't wait, but I have to. I am leaving my full-time job to play at a wedding and reception, later this afternoon. I will email back to you when I really get to play it. It is just absolutely beautiful! Thank you.
Take care,

Hello Gustavo,
Thank you for the invoice. I put a tap plate on my new guitar and have started to play it. I didn't want to scratch it before the plate was on. It sounds and plays beautifully. Soon I will be performing with it. Now my musical friends want to order a custom guitar, after seeing and playing this one. Good-bye for now.
Thank you again,

Greetings Gustavo,
Just wanted to give you an update on my guitar...all is good and guitar is absolutely perfect.
Also considering ordering a 2nd guitar from you. I'd be interested in a flamenco model nylon string, but with scalloped frets.
I don't see this option on your site and was wondering if you would be able to build a scalloped fretboard guitar for me.

Dear Sir Gustavo,
My heart is dancing for joy and I can't stop smiling. From the moment I held the guitar and began to play, I knew it was all I hoped it would be. The modifications to the neck and body let me play it with ease.
For the first time in my studies, playing is pure pleasure! I finally have a guitar that fits me and doesn't seem to aggravate old injuries.
Thank you so much for patiently listening to what I wanted and then making appropriate suggestions.
The sound is balanced and even and, according to my teacher, projects well--even with the modifications. We will leave the strings and action as is for a little while but will probably raise the string height a little and then change to the brand of strings I'm using now.
Please express my gratitude to the luthier who made this guitar! This is a day to celebrate!
Best Regards,

PS My teacher expressed interest in possibily carrying some of the guitars (retail) at the academy. :-)
Dear Gustavo,
This guitar is a joy to play! The changes made in the specifications match my hands and body perfectly. I no longer worry about further injuries and can concentrate on all things "musical". :-) One of the great joys I thought would never come is experimenting with different strings and different tensions. Originally, I thought I would have to use medium tension strings but have found brass wound hard tension bass strings and extra hard tension trebles give a wonderfully, BiG warm rich sound with minimal effort.
Will the extra hard tension strings injure the guitar in any way?
I am unsure if you used extra reinforcement on the neck due to the changes we made to my guitar's dimensions. The 640 scale requires less tension to bring the string to pitch but, D'Addario uses a smaller scale (648) to manufacture its strings than other companies. I thought it best to check. Please advise.
Thank you so much,
Eileen

Good Morning Gustavo,
Where to start. I didn't need medical care. It was very exciting to open the crate and see the guitar.
Gustavo I am a picky person when it comes to my own performance but especially about guitars. I am not easily impressed. You have impressed me. My little magician is a marvel you should be extremely proud of. I am proud to own it.
The exterior. It is beautiful. The wood working is flawless and the wood is superb. The luthier work is magic. It is very resonant, A lot of voice. The scale will take some getting use to but it wont be long and I will be all over it. The action may be a bit low for my preference. However I like a higher action than most, so for anyone else this would be perfect. Just a person preference. I may try a shim under the neck nut before I have a new saddle bridge cut. There are one maybe two luthiers up to the task in the Phoenix area.
The interior is beautiful too. A brush mark here and there showing in was made by a human and not a robot. When the case arrives I will have my friend take it over to his next lesson with Frank Kounce (ASU Guitar Department Chair) I would like him to see your work and I am proud to show it off. He better give it back.
I spent more combined hours playing your guitar yesterday than I have played over the last 15 years. I am over playing the instrument however if the action was slightly higher the guitar has more to give. (At least for me. Playing is so subjective). It has taken a long time to find a guitar to be close too. Thank you. With some tweaking and this beautiful thing will have a lot to say to me, and for me. Very nice depth when I find the sweet spot.
Gustavo for your info. The Larivee parlor case is a little short in the body length. So your case must be coming from another producer not that it matters one way or another. If the case is the same caliber as the guitar all will be great.
Gustavo thank you again for creating that something special to me. I have been searching for a long time.
If you have suggestions on the action, I will make sure it happens. Can you send me a shim? If so let me know the amount.
Strings. I assume these are light gauge or medium. Will the guitar take hight tension strings? Would you recommend that course?
Thanks so much.
My warmest regards to the luthier and tell him I will be thanking him every day for years to come I hope. It is a special guitar and a work of art. Thank you.

Greetings Gustavo,
I just got my guitar last night and wanted to tell you how happy I am with it.
Everything was just as I specified. The scalloped fretboard was very skillfully done. I was up until 4AM playing it. This is my second guitar from you and I'm just as pleased as when I placed my first order with you.
I will continue to refer you to my friends. Your work and advice are both excellent and a great benefit to someone like me who is not as experienced with different woods and the tones they produce. I can't thank you enough.
Please feel free to use my comments. I look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

Hello Gustavo,
I hope all is well for you. I am doing fine, just a quick note to thank you for everything. The guitar is everything I had hoped it would be & more! I can't stop playing it. I took it to my lesson this Tuesday & my teacher couldn't put it down, he just graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music & says that I made a great choice from all of the many fine guitars out there. I am amazed at the great tone & ease of playability & the stunning looks. All & all I just want to say that I am more than pleased with your beautiful instrument & it will be used with love for all of the years I have remaining (God willing) on this earth & then it will be passed down to my children or grandchildren. My 1 1/2 yr. old grandaughter loves all of my guitars also, so maybe she'll get it. Thanks again for all of your time & kindness in answering my questions, I have to get back to playing now & I'll talk to you again –

Dear Gustavo,
Thank you for getting back to me. I was planning to write to
you this afternoon anyway to tell you that I am falling in love with
this guitar, the more I play it. With Savarez high-tension strings,
it has a lovely sound, with a good amount of volume. The neck
feels like it was custom-made for my hands, and the action is
absolutely perfect for me. There is a very good balance between
the basses and trebles, and a wonderful sustain. Everyone who has
seen and heard it is very impressed with both the beauty and
craftsmanship of the instrument, and the quality of the sound. Other than the problem
with the saddle, which will soon be rectified, this guitar was perfect, my congratulations and thanks to the luthier!
I am now eagerly looking forward to the African Blackwood instrument's
arrival.

Gustavo,
The guitar arrived today - just a little while ago and it is soooo beautiful! Getting the strings settled in and tuned up now. I do have a couple of questions - first is, what is the little 3/8" indented place on the bridge under the third string? It's an interest question on my part. I've never seen it before and am interested. The second question is, is the string action as low as it can go and still retain the tone quality?
Thank you for everything - I'm really looking forward to playing it for a long, long time! This is a big thing for me. :-)

Dear Gustavo,
Received the guitar today Mon. the 12th. I had read a couple of negative reviews about your company after I had ordered from you, so I was a little concerned. After receiving the guitar and tuning it I must say I am very pleased with how it looks, feels and sounds. Plays much easier for me and my arthritic hands. I have zero complaints and nothing but praise for your work. Thank you very, very much. I will give you an update in a few months.

Gustavo,
I wanted to drop you a note about the guitar. It is magnificent! How your builders get that kind of sweetness of tone and volume out of a little guitar is something I would never have believed without hearing it for myself. I stayed up until 2:00AM last night playing it! This morning, I played my 2 classicals (one is a European Spruce topped Hauser size, the
other is Western Red Cedar topped Fleta sized, both Indian Rosewood back and sides). Both of these guitars were custom built for me by a builder here in the states, one in 1989, the other in 1991. I played both of them and the
Parlor for my wife (she had her back turned!) and she picked out the Parlor as the best tone and volume, every time. My wife doesn't play, this test was simply what she thought sounded the best.
Again, thanks for everything and delivering a guitar that is FAR better than most anything I have come in contact with. I will be in touch.
